SharePoint sites are generally used as internal private intranets or private extranets (websites requiring login). This SharePoint website has been made public so prospective users can see what it looks like. None of the normal features are enabled for anynomous users. SharePoint sites allow anyone with access to instantly share documents and ideas all using a regular web browser. Users can upload office documents and photos while others check them out and make changes.
